β˜€οΈ Way of Working

At Imperial Healthtech, we thrive in a flat organizational structure that values transparency, direct communication, and collaboration among all team members. This guide will help you navigate your initial steps in our organization, ensuring you understand your role, the tools at your disposal, and how you can contribute effectively from day one.

🏒 Organizational Structure

We operate in a flat hierarchy, which means that while you have a direct report for guidance, there are no middle managers. You have the freedom to reach out to anyone in the organization, from your peers to the executive team, to seek advice, share ideas, or collaborate on projects.

🎯 Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Objective Setting: You will meet with your mentor during your first week to discuss your initial objectives and the expectations for your role. This meeting is crucial to align your skills and career aspirations with our company’s goals.
  • Direct Report: Your direct report is your go-to person for day-to-day guidance. They are here to help you set your tasks, answer questions, and ensure you have the necessary support to succeed. Regular check-ins will be scheduled to track progress and provide feedback.
  • Freedom to Act: In our flat organization, you are encouraged to take initiative. You have the autonomy to propose projects or improvements and the flexibility to work across different areas of the company.

πŸ—£οΈ Communication and Collaboration

  • Open Communication Channels: All team members are encouraged to communicate freely. We use Slack to keep everyone connected and informed.
  • Regular Meetings: While formal meetings are minimized, we hold regular forums where team members can share updates, discuss challenges, and brainstorm solutions collectively.
  • Feedback Culture: Feedback is a two-way street here. You are encouraged to provide and receive constructive feedback to and from any member of the team, regardless of their role.

πŸ•˜ Availability

  • Full-time employees work on-site at the Semarang Office from 08:00 to 17:00 WIB.
  • Remote interns/employees work for 20/40 hours a week, with flexible scheduling.
  • Interns can change their availability by informing their Squad Lead and updating their Slack profile.

πŸ’» General Expectations for Remote Work

  • Self-Management: Success in a remote work environment demands high levels of discipline and self-management. Employees and interns are expected to manage their time effectively and maintain productivity with minimal supervision, including completing Daily Report & Weekly Reflection.
  • Initiative: Being proactive about taking on additional responsibilities and seeking clarification on assignments is highly encouraged. This behavior is crucial for both personal growth and successful remote career development.

 πŸ“… Daily Report

  • Purpose: The Daily Report serves as a critical part of accountability and productivity measurement for remote interns and employees at Imperial Healthtech. It is mandatory for maintaining employment status.
    • Content: Each Daily Report should include:
      • Activities Completed: A detailed description of all tasks and projects worked on during the day.
      • Plan for Tomorrow: Outline of intended tasks and objectives for the next workday.
      • Challenges and Assistance Needs: Identification of any blockers or challenges faced, specifying assistance needed with the name(s) of the individual(s) who can help.
  • Submission: Reports must be submitted by the end of each workday on Slack.
    • For Interns, send it to x-interns channel.
    • For Employees, send it to mm-core-squad channel.
  • Consequences of Non-Compliance: Failing to submit a Daily Report is treated as an absence. More than three missed reports will trigger a termination process.

 πŸ“ Weekly Reflection

  • Purpose: Weekly Reflections are used to evaluate the progress and productivity of remote interns and employees over the week, contributing to performance reviews and future work recommendations.
    • Content: Each Weekly Reflection should include:
      • Accomplishments: Quantitative summary of achievements (e.g., “Completed 10 new test cases” for a Software Quality Engineer, “Wrote 5 articles totaling 1200 words each with a 90 score on Rank Math” for a Content Writer).
      • Reflections on Learning and Challenges: Insights gained and difficulties encountered during the week.
  • Impact: These reflections aid in determining the “100 Days Rockstar” recognition and are utilized in writing Recommendation Letters at the end of the internship period.
  • Submission: Reflections should be submitted at the end of each week, typically on the last working day, via the the same Slack channel for Daily Reports.
